フィードバックを提供するA very beautiful interior indeed that provides for a romantic dinner. Service was great. The three course dinner for 39 Euros began with risotto with parmesan cheese which was very salty, a tasty and tender Iberican pork for the main dish, and vanilla ice cream with meringue and pomelo for desert which had a very interesting flavour.
Lovely food and ambience. Great service , friendly staff. Very accommodating. We had visitors from Saudi and they accommodated their requirements. Great food Had the surprise menu.
From the cocktails through the entrées to the desserts and cheese this restuarant got everything right on the money. The menu was a creative fusion of scandinavian and international cuisine, with nordic flourishes thoughtfully added throughout. Service was excellent and the location (in a kind of atrium) was spacious and comfortable. We kicked off with excellent nordic themed cocktails which were potent and well balanced. We went for a tasting menu but were allowed to request the steak rather than fish for one of the main courses (as I'm not great with bony fish) and everything arrived beautifully presented and extremely interesting and creatively imagined in terms of taste. I'd reallyh recommend this dining experience if you are in Helsinki and want tio experience some of the finest points of fresh, imaginative Scandinavian cuisine.
As a result of our inability to plan more than one meal ahead in a new country we found ourselves searching for a local style Scandinavian meal. Not sure how local given most people in Helsinki appear to be able to walk with ease after a meal. We went with the chef’s 6 course tasting menu with wine flight and preceded with a cocktail. Not sure who had the idea of searing a lime, grating it finely and then using it with fine sugar to line a glass but they are surely in line for some form of sainthood. This was followed by a selection of carpaccios’ the signature mushroom risotto the sweet mushrooms could have been served as a dessert) that had us trying to work out how made and, after further courses of fish with seared fennel and a rosemary ice cream with strawberry and honey reduction we staggered out and wobbled our way back to the hotel. Service was friendly and unrushed with each course being explained clearly. No wine flight in the nordics will be cheap but no sales of kidneys were required to fund the meal. Strongly recommended.
