A Slice Of Helen

At 6:30 p.m. with pizza. The pizza took about 25 minutes to cook. Crust was a bit of a treat. We waited for the pizza in the dining room. A wall with windows separated the bar from the dining room. Bar allows cigarette smoke. Every time the door opened, it was billed. No big deal for me, but maybe for others. It is one of the few places that are closed late in Helen at 1 o'clock.

Great pizza at this whole in the wall place. Pictured below is the meat lovers pizza. Highly recommend.

Upon entering the establishment it seemed to be outdated by the decor. But DO NOT let that deter your taste buds. Our party ordered two pizzas, and salads. Let me start by saying WOW. The dough is made fresh, and perfect crust. All fresh toppings, and the cheese was amazing. This is a must stop for you and your family.....Trust me you don't want to miss the little slice of Helen.

Don't let the negative reviews deter you from trying the pizza here. The truth is, this is a bar featuring two separate dining areas adjacent to the bar, separated by walls and glass partitions. We sat on the left side near the entrance, where we occasionally caught a whiff of cigarette smoke, but it wasn't too bothersome. We were there for an hour, and our clothes didn’t smell at all afterward. Although the service can be a bit slow like in many restaurants, the staff were attentive and efficient. The pizza was excellent—no complaints about the food, and it's reasonably priced.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was impressed by its cleanliness. Angel, the hostess and server, was wonderful—nice, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. During my time there, I noticed how she consistently greeted everyone with a smile. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Initially, the prices seemed a bit high, but once I saw the generous portion sizes, I understood the value.
