The brownie cube was really good, and the pistachio dessert was excellent as well, though quite rich. The chocolate salted caramel was also very good, but similarly rich."
I finally had the chance to try some treats from Moustache Baked Goods, which is a sister establishment to Noble Ice Cream located down the street. I sampled the BEEKEEPER CUPCAKE, which features a honey olive oil cake topped with lavender frosting. Unfortunately, I didn’t really taste the lavender, and the edges of the frosting were a bit dried out. However, the BANANA BREAD was fantastic! I wished I had some tea to enjoy with it, but it was so hot outside that I couldn't bring myself to order a cup. The ICED FOUR BARREL LATTE was absolutely delicious—strong and bitter, making it a perfect complement to the banana bread.
Incomplete, but a promising start! My review is unfinished because during our sole visit to Moustache Baked Goods, we only ordered coffee drinks and didn’t sample any baked goods. Located just a short walk from Healdsburg Plaza on Healdsburg Ave, the shop is tidy and welcoming. We arrived later in the day, and there was only one young woman serving behind the counter. She took our order and prepared our drinks, which were delightful. We enjoyed good coffee, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Next time, we’ll be sure to try some of their baked goods.
This is a lovely spot with delicious cupcakes. Moustache has a playful vibe, and both the name and logo are appealing. The strong white exterior gives it a charming New England feel. Inside, the walls are a gray/silver, complemented by bright white accents. There are also corrugated metal sheets and blackboards that add an interesting touch. The atmosphere is quite enjoyable. The staff is friendly and makes the visit worthwhile. We sampled four different cupcakes, along with coffee and tea. They were tasty, though not quite extraordinary.
After finishing up at Noble Folk, we headed over to Moustache. It's a really small shop, but there were a few more seats available. Upon entering, you're welcomed by a display case filled with delightful treats. There were so many options, from macarons to cookies to cupcakes, and even vegan choices! When we got to the Moustache-O, we also picked up a Corn Strawberry treat. Both of these were similar to whoopie pies, featuring a sweet cream filling between two soft cookies. I really enjoyed the chocolate cookie in the Moustache-O, but I found it a bit too sweet for my liking. The Corn Strawberry was sweet as well, but not as overpowering. My friend opted for chocolate chip cookies and thought they were a bit overly sweet too, which surprised me since he usually loves sugary treats. Others in our group bought some cupcakes to take home. Personally, I prefer Noble Folk over Moustache because their offerings align better with my taste, striking a lovely balance between sweet and tart. I’m not really a fan of overly sweet desserts. Overall, Moustache is a charming little shop with a great variety of flavors, which I enjoyed!
