While they still offer pork rolls, they have revamped their menu and no longer offer bargain prices. Originally opening in 2014 with a promise of cheap pork rolls, Krispy Roll closed in late 2017 and was replaced by Kusuka Cafe and Warung. However, they soon returned to the scene after the neighboring shop became available.
MmmhhhhhhhHH. The Banh Mi is sooo good! $9.50 at that time. Fair. Cheers
I ordered a grilled chicken salad, very fresh ingredients and very tasty! The Vietnamese ice coffee was delicious too to cool down after those hot chilli I'll go back for sure. X
I have ordered takeout from this restaurant before, and I tried the Vietnamese-style chicken drumstick and grilled pork with broken rice meal. I really enjoyed both dishes, especially the drumstick. When I dined in, I had the spring rolls and grilled beef with steamed rice, along with a Vietnamese iced coffee. While both dishes were good, I preferred my first choices. The coffee was a bit too strong for my liking, so I would recommend avoiding it if it's late at night. The restaurant is quite small, and there were two hardworking girls working to fulfill all the orders that day. My main feedback would be to avoid using plastic containers for dine-in customers. While options may be limited for delivery and takeout, it is not acceptable to serve food in disposable plastic containers to customers dining in.
I'm confident in saying that this is the best banh mi in the CBD. The bread is fresh, there is plenty of meat, and the secret sauce is delicious. If you happen to walk by around 5 o'clock, you can get it for only $5.
