Chigo Chinese - Hawthorne

The food is good, but I want to share a concerning experience I had with a delivery order that took over two hours. After placing my order, Grubhub called to inform me that the restaurant was removing the duck from my order, which I was fine with. However, once the delivery window they provided had passed, I tried calling the restaurant but couldn't get through. When I called back, I finally reached someone who assured me that all orders were out for delivery. Over thirty minutes later, I called again and was told they were mistaken; my order hadn’t even left yet, but it was on its way now. Eventually, I received my order, but by that time, it was two hours after I had placed it.

I had the worst Chinese food experience ever at this restaurant. The food was terrible, and the staff was even worse. Just thinking about it makes me feel ill. I highly recommend going to China King instead, which is only about five minutes away. They offer fantastic food at reasonable prices, and the staff is wonderful and friendly. I find myself ordering from there at least once a week! It's amusing that the owner of "Chigo" (not a great name, by the way) invested so much into this place only to be outdone by a small, unassuming restaurant. Yikes!

Incredible food. I've eaten homemade Chinese food my whole life and I've never found a Chinese restaurant that comes anywhere near the taste until I found Chigo. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch and the outside was crunchy while the inside was juicy with very little oil. The broccoli on the side was cleanly steamed and crunchy without any overpowering sauce.Vegetarian options: Its a Chinese restaurant, eat your vegetables.Parking: Tons of parkingWheelchair accessibility: They had a ramp for the front door with railingDietary restrictions: I didn't have any dietary restrictions but the waiter asked me if I had any so they will probably accommodate you.

Food is excellent. Some of the best Chinese food I had. Organic, grass fed, not greasy. We did dine in, they are mostly take out. Its bare bones but the server take out counter dude was super nice. They placed great contemporary music, good sonos sound system. We were the only ones dining in. Strange smell. Will just do take out in future. Its worth the drive.

The crab rangoon is like a chip in a bag of lays you can eat one you have to order like 30 of them. So delicious!!! Took my wife as she's been asking me to go there multipile times and best believe we will be back! :
