Kava Kafe - Hawi

Almost missed this place as it's up off the street and not many reviews. SO glad I didn't. Very good. Clearly house made syrups from fresh fruit. Not so sickeningly sweet as so many shops. Reasonably priced and very nice server. Would definitely recommend and worth going out of your way to find. 5 star all the way.

It's a Kava bar. The quality of the product itself is quite good, but Kava also comes with a open minded(and open mouthed! culture. Your experience may vary, but I've greatly enjoyed my experiences there.

This place deserves more hype! We were looking for a shave ice place in the area and stumbled across Upstairs At the Mill. The location is literally upstairs, so it can be easy to miss. They sell a selection of fudge and shave ice. We tried their fudge flavors like lilikoi, chocolate, and haupia which were unique. We decided to go with their shave ice and ordered guava with ice cream. The guava syrup tasted a lot less artificial than other spots that I've been to and was more like juice. The ice cream was also great quality and delicious! I love adding snow cap, but didn't see it on the menu. They have plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy your treat! If you're looking for shave ice in the area, I'd recommend.

BEST SHAVE ICE! Best shave ice I have ever had truly. Usually not the biggest fan of shave ice but I ordered one here and it was amazing. Tasted like real fruit. Highly recommend the mango. Would definitely come back here, nice employee that gave us free fudge as well! Cool place

After 5 months of coming here I just now got a smile from one of the employees. Great Kava, terrible customer service skills. Will not be enjoying another cup, not worth it.
