フィードバックを提供するI used to visit this restaurant frequently over the years, but recently it has deteriorated significantly. The tables are dirty, the staff are standing around chatting, and it takes ages to be served a drink. Yesterday was the final straw. A staff member, who was short with glasses and greasy hair tied back, showed no interest in serving customers. She had a constant frown on her face. The coffee was terrible, just a cup full of foam. As customers, we felt unwelcome and will definitely not be returning. Considering the price they charge for a cup of coffee, we would expect at least a smile and a clean café.
I am currently at this restaurant, where I find the coffee to be very expensive considering the poor customer service. I am observing how the staff treat other customers and it is quite disappointing. The atmosphere is dark and unkempt, with litter on the floor and tables. The furniture is haphazardly arranged and nothing seems to be in order or clean. Even though the two women working here are not busy, they do not seem to be making an effort to provide good service. It felt like a burden to order a coffee and a slice of cake. After being here for 35 minutes, I have not witnessed any smiles or positive interactions. I would suggest that these women find jobs in a different field, as customer service does not seem to be their forte.
Had a quick cuppa after my shopping. The staff very friendly and welcoming, and encouraging people to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Also made the atmosphere even more jolly by creating a riddle on their chalkboard, which was quickly solved. Always lovely to stop here.
Really rude staff. I have nothing positive to say about this place at all. I think the staff hate there jobs
Whenever we go grocery shopping at Tesco, we make sure to stop by this restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly, the coffee is excellent (they serve the best chai latte in town), and we love the relaxed atmosphere. You never feel rushed, and we appreciate how they foster a sense of community by having a designated table for strangers to engage in conversation with each other.
