We popped into the Anchor, without any expectations, just wanting an evening meal. The pub turned out to be utterly charming with lovely staff and really tasty good food. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We called here at midday for food. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and we were seated on a big table by a friendly lady behind the bar who took our drinks order. The food was very nice. I ordered the smoked mackerel with new potatoes and salad and it was extremely good. The menu said it was local and it certainly tasted fresh. I would recommend it. Food: 5 Service: 4

PLEASE can you stop playing your trashy music on your cheap speaker in your doorway for the whole street to listen to. You are e ruining the atmosphere for everyone. Pretty sure you are thinking you are doing us a favour you are not! Atmosphere: 1
