Szechuan Delight - Harwich

A few weeks back I got myself visiting a friend and the food was really great! Everything tasted so good and I definitely ate more than I should. The chicken wings were so crispy and the eggplant was so fresh. Every court was better than the next. I would definitely go back and, in fact, if I were in town next time. Yum!

'Tis true: Sometimes the tastiest fare appears in the plainest settings. Because from the outside, Szechuan Delight resembles any such eatery scrunched into any standard stripmall in the country. But don 't be deceived. Because based on our recent visit sharing a very generous serving of mild, by request, General Tso Chicken, we believe the quality, preparation and value of this food is exceptional. And the diligent staff obviously strives to stand out. So if you need a cooking break, Szechuan Delight is most aptly named. Simply put, prepare to be amazed.

Covid era review: this small take out only shop did a fantastic job on an incredibly busy Christmas eve. They were slammed with orders, but handled the business efficiently calling out orders by last four digits of phone number to the masked crowd waiting outside. My food was excellent and there were no errors even though half the dishes were off menu customized. They did a great job on a tough night. And they took Covid precautions very seriously keeping themselves and their customers safe. The food was very good and of course, the portions were large an excellent value.

We've been dining at this restaurant for five years, and it's our favorite! The portions are generous, and the kids always enjoy the orange chicken. We love the General Tso's Tofu, Veggie Mushu, Sesame Chicken, and Mandarin Crispy Flower Shrimp. Definitely five stars!
