Vermillion - Harlingen

The service is what’s keeping me from giving a higher rating. The fajita nachos are delicious, but be sure to request salad, tomatoes, and other toppings, as they typically don't come with them. The ceviche is incredible, and I appreciate that they don’t use tilapia, so the fish is meatier and more substantial. As for beer prices, they’re fantastic—just $2 for a 16oz draft during happy hour, and served ice cold. You won’t find better prices in the city, especially when you can enjoy a meal at the same time.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I had a wonderful experience. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered the patty melt, the fajita nacho deluxe with salad and tomatoes, and a large shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of the cocktail, but it was fantastic—loaded with shrimp and avocado. The patty melt was cooked to perfection on marble rye, served with steak fries and homemade onion rings that were full of flavor. The nachos deluxe was tasty, although a bit heavy on the refried beans. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be coming back!

I had a great experience at BlackFriday Food in Vermillion! I ordered the Supreme Nachos for $10.99, which came with beef and avocado, and they were packed with flavor and texture. I also tried the Seafood Platter for $12.99; it included large onion rings and potatoes. However, I felt the portions were a bit too small for the price. The shrimp was overcooked, and the fish was overly seasoned—using too much salt on seafood that naturally comes from salty water isn’t ideal. The service was generally good, though it was a bit frustrating that the table next to us received their food before we did, despite arriving first. The parking can be a bit tricky on busy days, but the vibrant atmosphere made the wait worthwhile. With a full bar and sports on TV, the evening was quite enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back!

My first time in Vermillion to eat, my family and I came 30 to the conclusion, which is not the coolest thing to do on the staff, but we were super hungry. Regardless of this, the staff service was enormous to us and the food was still great, although it was late. I had a shrimp cocktail and it was super delicious, the sauce had a lot of taste. Great staff, good food, beautiful atmosphere, very comfortable. Will definitely come back.

The service was good and the food was great! I ordered my daughter the kids shrimp expecting just popcorn shrimp and fries and when her plate came we were shocked to see 4 large butterflied shrimp on her plate. She loved them! I took a bite and they were delicious! My food was great it was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
