Papa Jazzy's Creole Kitchen

The food here is outstanding, albeit quite pricey. This is the same chef who used to operate his restaurant out of a convenience store on W S Young, and I thought he had vanished for good. During lunch, there was always a long line. It seems he has relocated to Harker Heights, and this restaurant is likely one of the best in the area. Orders typically arrive within five minutes. Everything I've tried has been exceptional. Good luck finding fried oysters anywhere else in town! Jassy, the owner, is a real character who engages with customers to make sure everything is just right.

Papa Jazzy serves the best catfish dinner around. I’m always welcomed with a smile by both the staff and Papa Jazzy himself whenever I visit. As a seafood lover, I can confidently say this is the top spot for the freshest dishes. The service is quick, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has friends or family visiting the city.
