Ney-ya, Haria, Espana

Ya estamos en Lanzarote, la parte más salvaje y menos turística de las islas Canarias. Además, estamos en el pueblo de Haría, que las guías describen como el pueblo más bonito de la isla, pero en realidad es un lugar un poco alejado hacia el noroeste, caracterizado solo por tener más árboles que otros lugares. Como si eso no fuera suficiente, decidimos tomar un breve descanso por la tarde en un lugar que parece ser un bar, pero podría ser una casa privada. Llegamos a un edificio antiguo con techos altos y un ambiente melancólico. Hay varias mesas al aire libre, acceso a un programa de música local en la televisión y unos pocos clientes. En resumen, es autenticidad pura. En las paredes hay un toque romántico, con dibujos que representan lugares de la isla y frases de Manrique (una estrella real en la isla). ¿Cómo completar la experiencia? ¡Pidiendo un gofio (dulce hecho con maíz tostado)! La mujer que nos atiende es muy amable y sociable, y nos ofrece una porción enorme y deliciosa. Inolvidable.

So we got to an old building with high ceilings and an environment impregnated with melancholy. There are different outdoor tables, they have access to a local music television program and a couple of customers. everything is pure authenticity in brief. On the walls there is a touch of romance: where they are painted with drawings that represent local homes and manrique phrases (on the island is a real star). How to complete the experience? asking for a gofio (sweet maize made with toasted corn!) the woman who serves is very friendly and sociable and offers a huge and delicious portion.
