フィードバックを提供するThe food was good but the portion of food was not. I ordered the fajitas lunch special and didn't have enough meat to make 3 fajitas with the tortillas that come with the meal. The first 2 fajitas I made were small. I spent $22.00 on lunch, and if it wasn't for the complimentary nacho chips and salsa I would've left the restaurant still hungry. The Waitress never came back to the table after serving the food. The restaurant was clean and also offered outside dining.
One wouldn't expect to find such a wonderful Mexican restaurant in rural Hanover, but I'm here to say it's the best in RVA! When my son told me about El Zocalo, I was skeptical, due only to the location near Hanover Courthouse. I'm so glad he found this gem. We visited on a weeknight and didn't have to wait for a table. Service was prompt and professional, and the margarita was wonderful and tasted fresh. The food is beautifully prepared and so tasty. The seasoned beef and chicken is tender and authentic. I can't wait to go back!
Good food, decent service, loud place People near us were talking animatedly and it kind of echoed in the room. It was hard to talk with out raising our voices. They should think about something that absorbs noise. Otherwise, we were very satisfied. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
For the last two nights after work, I 've come about 30 minutes to closing and gotten their new La Manzana which is a nice warm apple pie drink, that really just warms you up from the inside out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
El Zocalo is a welcome addition to this area of Hanover. Absolutely wonderful food, provided quickly with the most personable service. The waitstaff are so welcoming and friendly. We often go to dinner with our elderly family members who can be very picky and ask many questions about their food. The staff are very patient and have accommodated any request. Dogs are also welcome on the patio. They even bring out water for the pups! We frequent this restaurant and have a great experience every time.
