Mattson & Co - Hamilton

Since moving to Hamilton, my husband and I have been on a mission to try out various restaurants in the city, both new and old. We've been disappointed at many places, but not at Mattson Co. We've been there for dinner and brunch, and both experiences were the best we've had in the city so far. The food is creative yet approachable, well-prepared, and bursting with flavor. The service is friendly and professional. We highly recommend dining at Mattson Co.

I honestly never leave reviews but felt the need to leave one after reading all the mixed reviews about this restaurant. My husband and I had dinner with friends here for the first time and had an amazing experience. From the friendly owner greeting us as we walked in, to the amazing wait staff and unbelievable food, this restaurant is hands down one of the best we’ve been to. Highly recommend this restaurant to all.

Yesterday was my first time dining at Mattson Co, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant. Despite not having a reservation, we were accommodated for an early dinner thanks to the staff. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance! Our server, Shawn, was outstanding and provided incredible service. As a restaurant owner myself, I truly appreciated the exceptional service and food at Mattson Co. The dishes we tried, including watermelon caprese, calamari, goat cheese and beet salad, chicken and waffle poutine, duck trio, lasagna, and chicken and feta pizza, were all exceptional. The entire dining experience was one to remember, thanks to the hardworking front of house and back of house staff. We will most definitely be returning to Mattson Co in the future. And Shawn, if you ever make your way to Niagara Falls, you've got a job waiting for you! Thank you again for a wonderful evening.

We had a delicious meal and incredible service. The cancellation policy was explained when we made the reservation...and I think every restaurant should do the same! We were greeted and welcomed pleasantly. We were seated immediately. Our server Rahul, and all the servers we dealt with, were pleasant, helpful and efficient. The food was amazing. The martinis and the wine Rahul recommended were equally delicious. The price point is perfect. We sat on the patio (by choice) and look forward to eating inside with the music next time. My bf and I decided to go to hamilton for lunch on labour day. We turned to trip advisor for restaurants and found this one. I'm glad we picked it. We ate on the deck/patio. I got the curried vegetables (mmmmmm) and he got the lasagna dish (delish- yeah, I had a bite of his food). It was soooo good and so filling. Not too pricy, reasonable actually. The staff: really nice and on top of their game. Thanks guys. See you again!
