Bonehead's BBQ - Halifax

Boneheads lacks vegetarian options, and corn cake with honey whipped cream lacked flavor, tasted like soft raw corn. ?

Disappointing experience.Not “moist tender” as advertised.Not fresh and mostly overcooked.Meat was dry and the BBQ sauces in display didn’t help as well.They also take cash but don’t give change…It was like they had the food already cooked and just reheated. The order was ready in less than 8 minutes, is this fast food?I even couldn’t finish the pulled pork sandwich due to how dry it was. The sandwich bun and fries was alright tho.Not a truly authentic BBQ experience.

Service: 3/5The young person with glasses provided a friendly and welcoming vibe.Nothing over the top, no recommendations, the bare minimum just like their wage most likely.Everything was ready under 5 minutes, should this be considered fast food?You have to order at the stand, nobody takes your order at the table, food items are not delivered to your table, you are called to grab your food like in the local Starbucks.Food: 1/5We experienced the following items:The pulled pork sandwich The 3 meat plate 1/4 lb beef brisket, german sausage, 1/4 rack ribsThe 2 meat plate 1/4 lb beef brisket, 1/4 rack ribsThe rib’s meat was brittle as if it was frozen and then served reheated.The german sausage was dry.The beef brisket was dry.Fries nothing spectacular, regular bar style fries with skins, semi fresh.Mac n cheese creamy, saturated with black pepper you could barely taste the roux.Portion size: palm sized portionsHoney mustard: mustard flavour is overpoweringBbq sauce: lacks body, watery.Ambiance: 1/5Food is served on a tray reminiscent of a school meal hall, gray and dull, quite fitting for the place.Food presentation leaves to be desired, you get your meat assortment placed on a sheet of paper.Wooden tables and chairs, not polished.Disillusioned by Halifax’s standards, there are wide areas for improvement.

On recommendation, my wife and I ordered a simple, on the go, Boneheads BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with the BBQ Baked Beans as a side. What an amazing to go experience. We 'll he back for a full rack of ribs !!

Yum! We had Ribs and Pulled Pork, Fries and Slaw. Really good, highly recommended. Great flavour. Friendly staff. Things were busy but the team was all very friendly and good. Again, Super yummy.
