Seville Tapas - Half Moon Bay

Delicious food at a reasonable price. We enjoyed meatballs in saffron sauce, a serrano ham and manchego sandwich, tortilla española (potato omelette), almond cake, and sangria. The location by the harbor was beautiful, making for a perfect, quiet, and tasteful evening.

First night in Halfmoon Bay. Sat down and Ordered three plates. Had the Lentil soup and it was superior. Then we took bites of the other two dishes and they were unedible. Maybe that isn't a word but it fits. The waiter asked how the food is and we said the soup is great. When he replied what did you expect you ordered vegan stuff. WHAT- VEGAN is hard and tasteless?!?!? No, I'm sorry from the guy, no please let's get you something else, no I'll remove from the bill .. we were dumb founded. I could tell the guy was itching for a confrontation so I let it slide. My daughter latter said if she had been there with friends she would have spoken up but didn't want bad Karma to come back on me. So disappointing.

It's kind of a shame. The food was great at this place. Wonderful tastes, unique items, great cheeses and meats. Unfortunately the service was absolutely horrible. The owner was our waiter and he could not have been much more unfriendly. We really felt like it was too much effort for him to even converse at all with us. He was much more interested in sitting at his table with friends or family and we were obviously getting in the way of that. Might explain why we were the only customers in the place at 6:00 on a Saturday night. With good staff this place could be great. Without them I can't imagine it will survive.

I came to the area for a job interview and wanted to spend a few days on the coast. I walked around but decided to try something new. I ordered the shrimp tacos. I love shrimp and the tacos were amazing. So tasty that I ordered the same thing again. Why switch it up when the food was so great. I had a wonderful conversation with the owner. It was nice to get a good perspective of what it's like to live on the area. Also this cutie pup hung out with me making me feel at home. Highly recommend the conversation, food, and community environment. Plus it's a nice walk to the bay. I didn't take the job but would totally come back to the area for vacation.

The only item I liked was the jamon iberico which is obviously store bought. Every thing else was something I could have made better myself. Sorry no bueno.
