Half Moon Bay Brewing Company

Poor quality of options for vegan. The only item listed is the brew house burger which can be made vegan. Placed the order and the waitress came back and said they don’t do a vegan bun anymore. Only vegan side choice was a basic salad.

We have visited Half Moon Bay twice in the last few years. Both times we have really enjoyed the food and the service. It's right next to the water, and the closest restaurant to the coast that vegans can eat at in HMB. Their gardein burger is very good, as well is their hummus. In the past we've had a salad or two there. The real reason to stop by is their fantastic beer selection that they make, and great patio.

This restaurant offers a variety of items labeled as vegetarian, and when we asked to make them vegan, they happily agreed! The kids' menu featured mac and cheese, which they creatively transformed into "happy mac marinara" for my daughter. We also enjoyed the spelt, hummus, veggie sandwich, a delightful sweet soup in a broth bowl, and pommes. Be prepared for a busy atmosphere, as the place is right by the ocean, so you might have to wait a little. We arrived on a Sunday around 1 PM and waited for just 10 minutes. Overall, it was a fantastic experience during our vacation!

The restaurant offers a selection of vegan appetizers, including a dish that can be made vegan by omitting the beer cheese, as well as a hummus plate. The only vegan entree available is a burger, which was quite delicious. The service was prompt, although the staff were not particularly friendly.

I've been here at least 3 times in the last 3 to 5 years and I always felt different about the experience. first they had a vegan rübenburger who was in order. we came back a second time with the family and they had the impossible burger. it was so fantastic that I first tried, and I was so excited to go back. I had my chance in februar 2020 and they had no more. they had an beyond burger option, but it was bad. I guess they can't get the impossible brand now that they bleed out and they buy the cheapest beyond option they can. I don't know if I'm going back.
