Haus - HAHNDORF

We were recommended The Haus by a friend and she was spot on! Delicious food, huge variety, and very very popular. I;m sure everybody will find something on the menu to suit! The breakfast pizza (mine on gluten free base) was sensational!

We love going up to Hahndorf, the old time charm of the Town and all the different Shops Cafes and Restaurants, its very relaxing just to wander around, take your time and go ibto each shop and try their samples.

I have visited The Haus on several occasions over a period of years (while visiting from the Northern Territory). The Haus is a great place to meet, with great atmosphere (warm in winter and cool in summer). The food has been delicious on every occasion and beautifully presented.

When this restaurant is good it's really good... the trouble is you can never predict when it's a good day. We ate there with overseas visitors who love going there. We had a great time, staff were helpful and attentive. Food was great and no meal forgotten. Fast forward to two months later and it seemed like a different restaurant. Service was sloppy, waited a long time for our meals, a meal forgotten and not even an apology. I don't mind waiting for meals if you are busy but when you have two other tables in the whole restaurant....Pity, because sometimes we don't like gambling with our food
