Yum! They do say that you first eat with your eyes and the Farm Gate Providore certainly plays to this sense.
After alighting the bus at Hahndorf I made the mistake of stopping at the first shop that sold coffee and beesting for morning tea. The coffee was acceptable but nothing special. The beesting was old and the filling tasted like fake hard cream. I bought a slab of beesting, to take back to our hotel, from the German Family Baker up the road that was brilliant - just like my German mum used to make.
Beautiful old fashioned coffee shop with fresh cakes and hot drinks. Old fashioned products for sale would make lovely gifts. Great service
