Blacksmith Hahndorf SA Cafe

Had an Excellent hot chocolate and cappuccino, good prices and wonderful service! Lovely atmosphere with a wonderful setting, the couches are soo nice and cozy! Even had blankets for people that were cold and the complimentary lumberjack cake was a welcome surprise!!

This is my absolute favourite place to eat in Hahndorf. The owners and their staff are so kind. And if you want to go to a restaurant and cafe with your child/children or grandchild (like my husband and I) you are at the best place in the world. My granddaughter (18 months old) loves this place, too. First she always has to go to her friend, the rocking-horse, and then we share our delicious meal together. There are also puzzles and books for the little ones. If you don't find them, us the staff. They are always so friendly.

This is a charming cafe on the edge of town. Run by a young couple who provided friendly and efficient service. The inside of cafe reminded me of a room in an old farmhouse including books and paintings. Very clean. Good coffee. Tasty soup and tasty German style dishes. Would recommend. Very warm and cosy on a blustery cold day.

This lovely cafe couldnt be better. The Gentleman saw my daughter was cold and found a blanket for her. We had the very best toasted sandwich, coffee and hot chocolate BUT the best was the Lumberback cake. It is to die for. The day before we got coffee and a piece of cake was popped on top of our takeaway cups. We came back the next day for breakfast and more cake. A friendly and passionate about their cafe, couple. Loved, loved, loved this cafe. WILL be back.

Had breakfast here with my wife while staying in Hahndorf. The service was prompt and food was delicious. The cafe is an actual barn and is filled with interesting paraphernalia that keeps you entertained while your meal is cooking. We returned for breakfast on our last morning before flying back to Sydney.
