フィードバックを提供するThis is a great location and the club is starting to really do it justice. The food is consistently good. Fish dominates the menu but it also offers a very good hamburger and plenty of other options. Service can be a little haphazard. On my last visit the "greeter" was particularly chatty leaving me standing for several minutes while she talked nonsense with two couples in front of me. It was annoying. The staff in general need better training but the location and the food make up for this shortcoming. For visitors to Sydney you should definitely try to book here. Note booking is not so easy, but they do eventually return calls.
Promises so much but food only very average. Wine prices over the top compared to other clubs and restaurants. A lovely location though with clean facilities.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, the deck overlooking the bay was very nice, and service was good. My main mea l- flame grilled salmon fillet ($34) - was a big letdown in both portion size and quality. The salmon strip was little more than inch wide, and the sauce spread seemed more like orange cocktail sauce than capsicum coulis. The accompanying potatoes were, tiny, few and cold. My partner was also disappointed with the size of her meal (lamb rump). However we noted the Burger and Battered fish meals were very big and our friends seemed happy with their salads.
Great spot to watch the sun set across the water and the lights takeover around the Bay on a spring or summer evening. Nice range of items on the menu with plenty of seafood options.
Came here for the first time since renovations, and at first loved the decor. Modern while remaining authentic to the soul of its origins. Then you are greeted by the least hospitable person in Sydney. Being locals and non members of any rowing clubs we had to join. $10 for a year. The way this was handled was enough to turn you away. After 10 minutes, of completing forms, we were asked if we had a reservation to which we replied no. This caused further angst as it appeared we may not be able to Dine.Although the space is huge the placement of tables and poor use of space sees a large room with many gaps that could have tables. Having arrived at 6.15pm now 6.36pm, ms personality offers us a table as the people who booked it didn't show up.We walk over to table 9 without a menu or any further service. After 10 minutes hubby gets up to go to bar, sees menus and grabs them along with our drinks. Looking around seems there is no table service other than delivery of food and collecting of dirty glasses and crockery. Probably could have been told this at the door.Menu is great but against the service the pricing seems steep. Its restaurant pricing for a pub style experience.I ordered fish and chips which was Devine. Good size and the best part its fresh. Hubby ordered the lamb which unfortunately was overcooked. Our "waitress/server" was nice enough, she asked if we liked the meal, which we did.Might check it out in the day time as the view has always been spectacular there, but i cant say i will be recommending or rushing back anytime soon.
