The Guildford Hotel

Nice atmosphere and the drinks are ok but really didn't like the food. Everything was so oily and lacked balance. Nice place to go for a beer in the afternoon, though.

The new decor is amazing love what they have done with the place. The drinks were reasonably  priced and nice. The food was expensive and got very little for your money not really worth it.

I love what they have done with the remodel of the building! Amazing atmosphere and the drinks are awesome. Unfortunately the food is a real let down.

Had lunch at the Guildford on Friday 5/5/17 for the first time. The hotel restoration is impressive. The ambience and staff customer service was great. But found the menu to be a let down. For "pub food" it seemed to lean to American style food, served in large enamel baking dishes - which were chipped and so, so, so, overpriced for what was served up. Would have loved to see a truly Australian pub menu and decently priced. Something that would represent the historical theme of the Guildford area. Sorry, but won't be back!

Visited the hotel for the first time since it reopened. As a lover of all things old and heritage, we were particularly disappointed by the fit out, no original charm or character remains. The interior looks cheap and cliche. I ordered the salmon salad and was dissatisfied by the portion sizing, tiny piece of salmon and a few tossed leaves. Coffee size was tiny too. Very expensive, no value for money.
