Rise - Groton

Stopped for breakfast at this small hippie-dippy cafe. My partner and I ordered french toast, pancakes, eggs, iced tea. The cafe itself was charming: coffee was help-yourself. Pancakes were perfectly cooked, not the rubbery things one sometimes getsat diners. The french toast was presented beautifully and as tasty as the presentation promised. Scrambled eggs perfectlycooked as well. The waiters were helpful, polite, kind. The locals are lucky to have this place; for out-of-towners this is abreakfast must-stop.

Small, but quaint restaurant. Self serve coffee station was nice. The Chahalla french toast with strawberries and bananas was yummy! Fruit was very fresh. The eggs benedict was good, the hollandaise sauce had a little to eggy taste for my liking. Staffis super friendly.

Everyone in our group of 12 loved this place! There is something for everyone on the menu, including our daughter, who has a lot of allergies (she loved the sausage and fresh fruits) and our lower pit of a son could not end his Cakey McPancakes. Requisit to the cook!! Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was ready before the children became angry, and we didn't feel rushed. We're coming back!

I thought it was so cool to have a choice of mugs and pour and doctor your own coffee right at the door. I had already had my coffee at home, so I can’t tell how the coffee tasted. Next time I will wait so I can enjoy picking and making my own cup. The brisket hash was EXCELLENT! By far, hands down, best hash I’ve ever eaten. And I had one piece of gluten free French toast, which was really good too. Egg was cooked perfectly. Great experience at Rise. Parking was the only challenge. I highly recommend this eatery.

Sooooo amazing! My husband and I took our grand daughters. The food was to die for and our server, Annette is the best! Our new favorite place!!!
