フィードバックを提供するI recently visited a lovely restaurant in Groton with a beautiful atmosphere. The food was amazing and delicious! The only downside was that it was a bit hard to find and somewhat pricey. I was also disappointed that they didn't have tofu available. Other than that, it's a fantastic place!
The cafe no longer seems to prioritize local ingredients. When I inquired about this, the staff responded with silence or uncertainty. It appears that the only local item on the menu is the honey, which is quite disappointing. Given that "Bauernhof" is part of the venue's name, one would expect a stronger commitment to local sourcing. Their website emphasizes local sourcing as a key standard, but the current menu does not clearly indicate which items are local or organic. When asked directly, the chef was unable to name any specific local farms they work with. I hope these areas improve soon, as I would like to give a positive review. The prices here are too high to remain unclear about sourcing standards. If they cannot commit to using local farms and naming them, they shouldn’t claim to do so on their website and menu. It’s misleading advertising.
This is one of the few restaurants where you can enjoy farm-to-table cuisine prepared in a healthy and simple manner. Chef Karen is dedicated to maintaining the quality of the food and strives to source ingredients locally whenever possible. For those of us with food allergies and sensitivities, it's comforting to know that this bistro is a great dining option. I also believe that the prices are not significantly higher, if at all, compared to many other non-organic establishments I've visited; in fact, they may even be more reasonable.
If they take care of the integrity of the ingredients, this is the place to be. they focus on non-GMO, organic, local, pastured, healthy fat, full-grain cooks. Chef Karen is great to talk about food standards that use the caffe and why. the bakery is gluten-free and so good. the smoothies are amazing. in winter I get here quarters of suppe and chili for the week. they sell them to Maurer-Jars to go. updated by previous review on Monday, 20th april 2015
I stop and have lunch at the Groton Wellness Café in Groton, MA weekly. I choose different items from the menu and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious. The soups are always nice and hot and the portions are generous. The sandwiches are served on delightful wooden serving boards and their presentation is charming. Their beef chili is one of their best items on the regular menu their fish chowder is awesome. I cant wait for summer because their berry smoothie is the best summer drink Ive ever had. Prices for all their items are perfect for the quality and portions served. Great job Groton Wellness Café!
