Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Gretna

The dining experience was satisfactory. However, the staff appeared quite young and lacked professionalism. While they were friendly, they seemed to be more focused on interacting with each other than on providing attentive service. It would be beneficial for them to undergo professional training.

My last two visits to this restaurant have been disappointing. On my most recent trip, I received the wrong items in my order, and when I got home, I discovered that a burger was missing. Since I live just a few minutes away, I went back to the restaurant to inform them. When I arrived, I noticed all the staff gathered around a table on the floor. They finally acknowledged me and asked if I had forgotten my burger, which was quite amusing. No, I thought, you're the ones working behind the counter, so how could you forget? Eventually, they pulled my burger from the oven, packaged it, and gave me a dirty look. At this point, I'm not sure I want to return!

UPDATE: I’ve changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. Why? An employee made me say "hi!" I was just being friendly and cheerful because I was having a good day. However, a woman mocked the way I greeted people when she went back to the kitchen. I discussed this with the manager, and her reaction was dismissive, saying that they were just kids. Regardless of their age, you shouldn't mistreat anyone who deserves respect. Additionally, I found two pieces of hair in my sandwich wrapper, right where the food was! I will not be returning here. You can't have respectful employees, let alone those who don't wear hairnets or hats while handling food. That's simply unacceptable.

The service was a little slow. The food was hot and delicious. I had the 3 meat plate (chicken, ribs, brisket) with barbecue beans and Mac cheese. I'm back.

We walked in with a group of 20 people with Kajun Outcast Jeep Club and there were only 2 employees behind the counter so I thought it was going to be a long night. All of a sudden 2 other employees came from the back and jumped in to help and they got it done with amazing efficiency and accuracy. I don?t know her name but the girl with the green tinted hair was the motivator that got it done. Great food and service and I highly recommend this location.
