Schwaben House - Greenville

Everything was great at Schwaben House, perfect for a date night. They recommend parties with kids to dine in from 5 to 7 pm so you barely find any children after that which helps with the romantic ambiance. They also ask for smart casual attire, which I think it’s great ?. Food was delicious and traditional, decor is very original as well and the serves are exceptional. We enjoyed our time here and will for sure come back. Desserts are to die for!

I will say that the food was quite good, but the service was bad. After two wrong items were served, the waitress got unfriendly on top of that and even wanted to charge us for a wrong item. While the food tasted good, the portions were incredibly small for a $30 meal, especially the “wiener” schnitzel that wasn’t even made with veil like the original, and came with a tiny side of potato salad and a regular house salad. In the end our waitress also completely ignored us when leaving the restaurant, even when we said our goodbyes. After all, this was a very disappointing experience and they will not see us any time soon.

This is the real deal, for anyone craving original German food and drinks (Maultasche? Paulaner Helles? Apelstrudel? Obstler served as they should: at room temperature . Highly recommend...only they should think about using veal for the original Wiener Schnitzel :

Our first experience at Schwaben House was nothing short of exceptional! The charming German-European restaurant's decor, adorned with starfish and seashells, immediately evoked memories of my coastal upbringing and added a unique touch to the ambiance. Each dish was a delight: The beef roulade with spätzle and red cabbage was cooked to perfection, offering a harmonious blend of flavors that left a lasting impression. The apple strudel with vanilla ice cream was a delightful conclusion to our meal, showcasing authentic taste and quality. The service was outstanding, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. We're already looking forward to our next visit to Schwaben House! ???️ Parking: We had no issues finding a parking spot.

Yesterday, I went to Schwaben House with my family and friends. I was expecting to have a good experience, but unfortunately, it turned into an absolute nightmare. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a certain rudeness in the treatment we received. I brushed it off at first, but as each interaction with the attendant progressed, the lady became increasingly rude. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. The person who attended to us has no tact for dealing with us. My 3-year-old son is in shock due to the way she treated him. We felt like we were back in elementary school, being scolded. The attendant’s behavior was inexcusable; she managed to be rude to EVERY SINGLE person at our table. The experience left us feeling belittled and disrespected. It got to the point where we were afraid to interact with the attendant for fear of how she might respond. I will never set foot in this restaurant again and do not recommend it to anyone, anyone on this planet. No one should have to pay to be humiliated. It felt as though I had burned or torn up my money, paying for such terrible service. The entire meal was overshadowed by the attendant’s atrocious behavior. Not only did I leave feeling humiliated, but I also felt like I had thrown my money away on an experience that was nothing short of disgraceful.
