I've seen a lot of negative reviews about the service here and not sure why. We just got back from dinner at Jakes and the service could not have been better. Our waitress Kanayo(? was great. Kept checking back, was knowledgeable about the menu, offered to go drinks. Professional and friendly. All the other waitstaff seemed equally proficient. Orders came out promptly. Food was good. My husband's ribeye sandwich was great. It's cold here tonight and soups were incredibly hot. My burger may not have been the thickest but it was big and loaned with bacon. I would definitely go back ... probably for breakfast tomorrow.

Great place to eat and friendly atmosphere. Prices and meals are awesome.

Staff were friendly and helpful, though attentiveness needs improvement. I waited 15 minutes before having to seek help getting a leftover container. I found an on-duty staff on their phone, who, did not notice me approaching from their front, This made my request an awkward interruption. I noticed a few people lingering near the entrance. One made a strange comment to me, which made me think he had no business being there. So, vagrancy may be a problem for this location. One of the staff had heard the comment and later apologized to me.

Maybe I haven’t been here in a while but it’s definitely not the same. They don’t have late hours anymore it was on a Saturday around 9-10 pm and the waitress literally came to ask if we wanted to order anything else because the kitchen was about to close. They asked us to sit at a clean table and none were clean. My food was COLD as soon as she brung it to our table. Coming here was a huge disappointment.
