Merrivale Tea Rooms - Great Yarmouth

Great cafe with friendly staff. Lots of food and drink options. Homemade food. Three types of non-dairy milks and special items on the menu change. Great vibe, right next to the beach and on the edge of the busyness of Yarmouth so a bit quieter than the rest of the cafes.

This restaurant is a peaceful getaway from the busy arcades, offering charming outdoor seating surrounded by flowers. They have a selection of vegan options, including a burger, curry, and breakfast. I opted for the breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The chocolate cake for dessert was a perfect ending to the meal, and they also offered lemon cake as an alternative. Overall, a delicious dining experience.

Upon arrival, we waited for about 5 minutes before a couple in front of us mentioned they had been waiting for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging them. We decided to go to Sara's tea rooms, which is only a minute away, instead. I personally believe it is better anyway. I tried the vegan sausage roll, which I did not find to be great at all. However, the vegan chocolate fudge cake looked very tempting. Overall, I would not return to this place unless the seafront was extremely quiet.

There is a great variety of vegan dishes available at this restaurant. The staff is very knowledgeable about vegan options.

We decided to go to Sara's Teestuben, which is only a minute away, and I believe it is better anyway. I tried the vegan sausage roll, which I must admit was not great. However, the vegan chocolate fudge cake looked very enticing. Personally, I do not think I would return to this place unless it is very quiet.
