China House - Grayson

Food is edible, portions are subpar for price considering the quality of food. Ordered a quart of noodles, chicken, rice, sushi, etc for 50$. Chicken was good, but the rice and noodles were very bland. It’s not a bad place but I doubt I’ll order here again. First and foremost, I'd like to point out that this is in no way a buffet, and as such, I ordered a few dishes from their establishment. First off, I ordered steamed dumplings. My dumplings came cool to the touch with a chewy body and a hard seal around the top. I'd say these are pre-made/batched and then warmed up for the customers upon order. 10/10 would not order again. Secondly, I ordered the crab ragoons. These are honestly some of the worst ragoons I've had. The crab is nonexistent, and the cheese is nearly liquid. They are hot though, and seem to be at least fresh from the grease. (Edit: It's carrots, why in the world did they replace crab in the crab ragoon with little bits of carrots??? Lastly, I had a quart of their hot and sour soup. The soup was hot as expected but not spicy, just temperature hot. Overall, the soup had the right look and consistency, but there wasn't much flavor to be found. Overall, this made for a very poor dining experience, and I would not recommend this restraunt to even my worst enemies.

They closed the Buffet and only take to go orders now. I will say I was hesitant but wanted something other than truck stop food. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and white rice. It was really good. She said $18 and I was like ok and took a chance. There is a ton of Shrimp. Great choice.

There is no Buffet at this restaurant which actually helped them do better. The buffet was never really good. Although I miss having a buffet in Grayson we don't have any here anymore. The food now is made when ordered hot and take and go Its set up like bank drop. No contact with anyone inside etc. So no bathrooms going inside or sitting down. Foods cooked different than I'm use to at any other Chinese place I've ate. I wish we had a better choice. This place is just ok and leaves me sad. Chinese is one of my favorite addictions. This place just don't cut it. If I could go anywhere else I would. Also it would be nice to have Chinese food delivery in Grayson. I've tried to get them to add to door dash but these people don't understand English and I don't understand Chinese so didn't get anywhere with that. Anyways its better than nothing but your better off getting the food and making it at home.

This restaurant does not have a public entrance. You will need to call them and pick up your order. The food is always fresh.
