Gates Au Sable Lodge - Grayling

The food here for breakfast, lunch or dinner will not disappoint. Best food in the area. We made dinner reservations and had one of the best meals we've had in a LONNNNGGGG time. Expect to spend a good amount of money for dinner, and the portions are on the smaller side, but you will leave feeling like you can't wait until you can come back for more!

Was here a few times in the late 80s and met Rusty. My dad knew this was the place to go to learn what was happening on the river. We would buy some flies and head off to our cabin on the Au Sable. My dads dad (John Yarbrough) was known for his flys he created and sold back in the day (50s 60s) and Rusty remembered him well. So blessed to be a part of this history. Sorry to hear we lost Rusty. He knew his stuff and we appreciated him.

Just celebrated our anniversary at Gates Ausable Lodge restaurant. We couldn't have had a more pleasurable experience. Our server Johnathan was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of everything they serve. The drinks were imaginative and the food was impeccable. A most perfect celebration. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Amazing location. The restaurant on site is amazing. The rooms are small but lots of outdoor space and river access to spend lots of time outside. A great escape in a family friendly environment.Rooms: 5/5

Just stopped in to see the shop and the restaurant. Menu looks good, we picked up desserts to go. They were yummy. I'll be back to try dinner soon.Service: 5/5
