Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Grand Prairie

We frequently visit the Happy Lamb location in Houston, and decided to check this one out while in DFW. We were supremely disappointed in both the self service food, the cramped layout, and the service. The self service food was around 1/4 the size and selection of the Houston Bellaire location, had a broken ice cream machine, and you could not get your own drinks. Service was slow to refill drinks and take meat orders, and to clear the tables. The restaurant was really cramped and walking to the self serve food was inconvenient if there was more than 1 person doing the same. The broth and meats were standard and tasted fine. The issues wouldn’t normally leave a bad taste in my mouth, if it weren’t for the price point. Charging the same price as a superior location, for less value, was an extremely disappointing experience.

First time here, they were busy. Seem to be out of several items to add to the food. Hard to get refills for drinks while eating dinner. People I was with said food and service use to be better than it was. You can decide if you go.

Love it. We have best of both worlds. Half spicy and half not. I like the spicy one more because it's more flavor than the other. The buffet is clean and organized. There're different foods just in case you don't want hot pot. The server are attentive, make sure you have enough broth.

This place is amazing! Not only is the food amazing but the prices are affordable! My wife and I go at least once a month!

First time trying the hotpot scene, and really enjoyed it. We had a spicy and regular bone marrow broth, with cuts of beef, lamb and pork belly. Great spot to hang out with friends
