Cow Palace - Grand Island

The chicken fried steak was made from high-quality meat, but the portion was on the smaller side. Unfortunately, both the gravy and the mashed potatoes seemed to come from frozen packages, which was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, I really liked my burger. It was made from good quality meat too, though it was also a smaller size. The thin bun was a nice change from the standard type, making it even better. There's a chance I might come back again!

Ole Cow Palace, I first visited you in 1971, and I wanted to order a TAB. Do the old regulars still come in for breakfast? The stockyards may be gone, but now Mexican kids play soccer across the street. Where is that adorable waitress who used to make me chicken wings? I apologize for the time I got sick in the bathroom (I had too much beer), but thankfully, no one noticed. By the way, do you have Keno now?

The best burgers in town can be found on Wednesday nights, and they also serve one of the best breakfasts around for the price! The staff is fantastic as well!

The Cow Palace offers excellent value! The ambiance is relaxed, and there are numerous TVs if you want to catch a game. When I worked the night shift, I would stop by for breakfast after my shift, and the food was consistently good, with my meals never costing more than $6. It's slightly off the main road, but it's definitely worth the trip.

I have to give a big shout-out to the Cow Palace in the morning! It's an amazing breakfast place right in the heart of GI, NE. I won't go into too much detail, but I can take 10 people there for breakfast for less than it would cost to take a family of four to McDonald's.
