Debbie's Drive In - Granby

Must stop for sure. It's full of traditional drive in food (duh! but it's well prepared and delicious. The place is adorable from the outside but most importantly, the staff all seem pretty happy and well cared for. We've met three separate employees there and they all share an enthusiasm for their job which is rare in many restaurants these days.We didn't stay but the food traveled well to our rental. Also, we got three separate meals (chicken tenders, a spicy wrap and some burgers with fries, obviously! and they were all individually really good. Normally I find places like this can nail 1 2 things but not everything and yet, Debbie's does. Didn't find anything that any of us didn't like!

I took my kids here for a quick bite. We had a baby cheeseburger, Debbie’s burger and small krinkle fries. Service was super fast. The dining room has traditional diner furniture and there are picnic tables around the building for outdoor seating. The burger was tasty and I liked the large grain salt on the fries. Plenty of desert options on the menu, but we didn’t try anything. Plenty of easy parking in the lot. Overall a fun place for a quick bite with the family.

Edit: they had the elusive tenders today. I wish they could be available more often.Consistently disappointing if you go here more than once. Burgers have become nasty, drenched in that runny sauce and mashed into a foil wrapper. Room temp even if you eat in. I’ve sought out the chicken tenders but I’ve only been able to have them once, and they were pretty good. other than that they are “out of chicken tenders”consistently. Despite having grilled chicken wraps available. At a drive in. Doughy fries. At least they keep the CO2 filled up, the sodas are always crisp. McDonalds down by city market is more consistent and tastier

It’s not that it was bad; it was just not very good. The staff was avg, the food came quickly. The chicken fingers and fry’s were good. The chili dog was not very good. The atmosphere is fun. I would give it a try again as we come to the area semi frequently, but I was just not blown away.

Super cute place. Great atmosphere. Very good chicken sandwich and chocolate shake. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
