Red Snapper - Governors Bay

Almost perfect fish and chips, the only thing stopping a 5 star review is they're pretty expensive even for sumner prices but I couldn't afford everything I wanted and the lovely staff did give me a discount so I could review everything I ordered initially. Definitely worth the drive out to sumner. You must try the deep fried camembert, it's essential if you go here

This is 100% the better of the two. Ignore the lower score as its wrong. Purchased the same order (f,c,hd,jr) the same evening. Chips crispy vs (literally) floppy, fish twice the thickness and hotdog a bit better tasting although nothing versus a red prebbleton hotdog. The other place definitely has good burgers but I haven't tried ones from here.

To die for is all I'll say!! Must try I was staying in Bishopdale and this would be the only place I'd go to for F&C.

It was a cold, wet day, and I felt like hot chips. Red Snapper did not disappoint. They were definitely hot and so crisp and crunchy. Next time, I'll go when I've not already eaten as the batterred hotdogs they were prepping looked pretty good and to try some fish. Classic Kiwi Fish and Chip Shop and service with a smile! and
