Lilac City Steakhouse - Goulburn

Beautiful quiet room, simply affordable ideal for overnight business trip we would stay again. the breakfast was great and unexpected

The motel itself seemed adequate, but the real highlight was the adjacent steakhouse. It appeared to have a good deal with the local street workers, who seemed to enjoy their meals there. My wife and I arrived at the steakhouse at 6:20pm and there was a short wait. We ordered our meals and drinks, which arrived promptly at 6:30. However, as the evening went on, a large group of workers arrived and seemed to take priority. By 7pm, I inquired about our meals and was told the cook was busy. By 7:15, I asked again and was assured our food would be out soon. By 7:30, our meals still had not arrived and I was becoming frustrated. Despite my complaints, I received no apologies from the staff. Feeling disappointed with the service, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. We ended up at the Hibernian Hotel in the city, where we received our meals in a timely manner and at a much lower price. Overall, our experience at the Lilac City Motel and Steakhouse was marred by poor service and lack of apology.

Really grumpy, recipeist, breakfast service, rooms ate old, bad standard and if you can go elsewhere.

Personal was very professional, but I prefer a little friendliness, they were not rude, but there is a job to do. Eating was ok, again they need more personal.

I recently visited a fantastic yet modest restaurant with excellent service and outstanding steaks. My companion and I both opted for the eye fillet, which was cooked to perfection and served with delicious mashed potatoes and fries. The wine selection was also impressive.
