Dorsia - Gothenburg

The restaurants decoration was beautiful and sophisticated. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Explained the dishes well, were nice and worked fast. The food was exquisite. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Scallop cooked to perfection. The hen was tender and juicy. Definitely going back for more, with food this good it’s hard to not be in a good mood. The drinks were also really good, especially the peach blossom, recommend it strongly!

We only went for drinks but the atmosphere is amazing and the drinks were really nice. Especially recommended if you like gin and tonic!

Really great French style fine dining. Can heartily recommend the alcohol free drinks menu. Instead of dessert wine, you get reduced cherry juice with a shot of high quality espresso in for instance.

I have been to Dorsia a few times for a drink or a snack after work (the terrace in the summer is the best but last month I went there for my birthday and had the degustation menu and basically tried half their drinks menu. I don't think I even have to mention how insanely beautiful the decor is. Just go and see it yourself. The layers, the heavy curtains, the deep reds. It is so beautiful. The service is outstanding. From the people in reception to the person in the cloakroom and not to speak about the waiting staff or even the chefs. Extraordinary. Every dish was delivered in such a coordinated way, it really is an experience. I like to think we are not the kind of uptight people that treats waiting staff as pure service (we just like to eat good food and I think our waiter noticed and even adapted his tone a bit to be a bit less uptight (without stopping being incredibly polite , which we appreciated and shows they are real professionals who know their jobs and how to make people feel comfortable. If we talk about the food, every single bite, from the appetizers to the dessert, was just delicious. My partner, who worked as a chef for +10 years couldn't stop talking about the flavours and textures a week after we were there. I honestly can't wait to go back. Definetely my favourite cocktail bar/restaurant in the city, it's really nice to have something a bit special, specially if you are as bored of scandi design as I am.

I would give it 6 stars if I could. The decor is unusually charming, service was top notch and the breakfast is healthy and excellent. Our room was so clean and we were welcomed by fresh fruit and everything we needed. The large premium room has the biggest bathtub I have ever seen At night the temperature was just right. It's pricey but worth it!
