My online order couldn’t be fulfilled, and when I arrived to inquire about it, the manager casually said, "Look dude, we can’t give you your shake." I asked how I could get a refund, and he told me, "Call your credit card company, it’s between you and them." The customer service was appalling, and his attitude was very poor. It felt like they were taking my money and wasting my time! They even marked my order as complete, indicating that the shake was received. How many others have they done this to? They need to either close this location or find better management. They're failing the young people working there!
I would describe my experience as average. Perhaps I'm just getting older, or maybe the franchise has lost its charm. It's possible it's on the decline, or maybe it was never truly great to begin with, and I've been clinging to nostalgia for too long. Regardless, the burgers were decent, but the french fries and onion rings were less than impressive. I recommend skipping the milkshakes and heading over to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard instead—you'll likely enjoy it more.
I waited in the drive-thru for over 10 minutes. Finally, a girl in front of me honked her horn, and someone took her order. After a short wait, we placed ours. The food was hot and exactly what we ordered. It was good overall.
The workers are a bit slow but the food makes up for the time. Last time I went they weren't doing any shakes and it's a steak and shake restaurant and it was around 3 pm in the afternoon and it was hot out. The workers are nice and friendly.
They flat out stole my money. A couple of weeks ago I ordered through the app for this location. When my son went to pick it up, they claimed to have never received the order. He showed them the email showing the order and the location and they refused to make good on the order and gave him a phone number for Bill Gomez instead. We've made 4 phone calls to Bill Gomez, he only bothered to answer one time to say that he was driving and would call back, but he never did. None of the other calls were answered or returned. So I messaged Steak N Shake's customer service last Sunday, still no response. So now I have to dispute the charges with my bank.
