The owner, Kris Leblanc, has become well know on the Island for her vegetarian dishes, soups and sandwiches. She is a strong believer in buying local products and has played a big role in educating others in healthy eating. I have eaten at both her old and new locations and her food is always delicious!
We enjoyed our wraps and enormous dessert bar on the verandah. Several choices including daily soup and variety of sandwiches. Very good choice of healthy house made, and local bottled and canned drinks. Kris is so friendly and knowledgeable about local food - and food in general. We bought some vacuum packed Burt's Farm "Smokies" to take away and cook later.Check for seasonal hours before you go. Fall/winter hours in effect September.
Unfortunately, unlike other establishments in Gore Bay (and on all of Manitoulin Island), the staff at this restaurant were quite unfriendly during our visit in mid-May.
All kinds of delights from frozen yogurt to fresh baked bread and muffins! Friendly service.
It is worth the drive from anywhere on the island (and many places off of it) for their frozen yogurt.
