フィードバックを提供するI really enjoy this restaurant! The atmosphere is lovely, the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. I highly suggest trying the entree tasting plate.
I have never had a disappointing meal from this place, whether dining in or getting takeout.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. It is possibly the best Indian food in the southern region, and even in Adelaide. The butter chicken sauce is creamy and smooth, the chicken is tender, and the naan is cooked perfectly.
Inconsistent opening hours are an issue. When they first started operating they were open for lunch and dinner and I had lunch there with a lunch platter. I enjoyed the variety of dishes and for the price of $15 it was good value. After a short time they stopped opening for lunch for over a year. Recently there are signs on the windows and verandah that they are opening for lunch 6 days a week. The reality is that it isn't consistent. In the last 3 weeks the 3 times I have been there the sign on the doors says Closed and the lights were not on yet the open for lunch signs are still prominent. Have managed to have 2 meals from there, one the lunch platter and another was a takeaway for dinner (a family member happened to be coming through Goolwa at dinner time). We don't live close to the town and when we got the dinner selections home discovered that we hadn't been provided with one of our items that we paid for. We rang, they apologised but as the trip back to Goolwa is 30km we didn't go back to get the item.
Long wait for the food to be cooked but the Moghulai Lamb Briyani was worth the wait. Served in a traditional metal pail, the basmati rice was soft and topped with almond flakes. The meat was tender and well marinated with gravy. Papadams come as side. Good to order some gravy or curry for those who like their briyani wet. Good serving size; two of us had shared one serving.
