Shoney's - Goodlettsville

We came from Gallatin to eat here!! We haven't eaten Shoney's for years. We really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, we will definitely return!

We had a great breakfast. Our server kept our drinks filled and she was super friendly! We're coming back! Wasn't in Shoney's for years!! We'll be back soon!

The only negatives for this place aren't anything the restaurant has a lot of control over. I will start by saying we met family there to enjoy the Sunday morning breakfast buffet. First, there were some very rude patrons, filling 3, 4 even 5 plates to overflow, and taking them back to tables with just 2 adults. In addition there were people who felt entitled to push in for that one more thing even with others patiently waiting. Second, the buffet line is fitted to the restaurant, which means it is small for the crowd size. The place has been there a long time, since before the area started this growth spurt. Third, there was a staffing shortage, or at least it seemed that way. Just a couple of people working the tables meant a delay in refills and requested items. Also the kitchen staff was having trouble with keeping the buffet full, although they were hustling. All in all, very good in spite of all this, with very good food, friendly staff, and quick table turnover for new patrons.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. Our waiter ensured we had everything we needed, and the chef even came out to check on how we enjoyed our steaks. The salad and hot food buffet were excellent as well. We will definitely return!

This is definitely my favorite place to eat whenever I visit Nashville. It's conveniently located right across from the hotel where I stay, and the buffet is always incredibly fresh. The Slim Jim Omelette is simply fantastic! The staff is outstanding, and the food is consistently amazing. I promise you won't be disappointed!
