China King - Goochland

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for nearly two years, but I've recently been quite disappointed with the service. On two occasions, I've ordered the vegetable rolls and ended up with rolls containing pork and shrimp, which is a problem since my mother is allergic to shrimp and my husband doesn't eat pork. When I called to clarify the situation, the staff argued with me, claiming I hadn't ordered properly. I mentioned ordering "vegetarian spring rolls," but apparently they refer to them as "vegetable rolls" and didn't think it mattered if I received something non-vegetarian. Additionally, before this incident, my husband had called to inquire about catering orders, but the response was simply "no," and they hung up before he could ask any further questions.

I absolutely loved the food; it was fantastic! As for the service, I opted for takeout. I had dinner, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4 as well.

I placed a to-go order and chose the triple delight, steamed dumplings, and an egg roll. Everything was delicious! The woman who took my order was exceptionally friendly. I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my meal to be prepared, even though they were quite busy that evening. Overall, I was very satisfied. Service: Takeout Meal type: Dinner

Food has always been good except when they first came to Goochland, rice was really hard. I decided to give them another try after I seen my brother food from there and one Monday I had taste for Chinese food and they were the only ones open. The fried wings were excellent with their hot sauce. I have had them many times. Always good and hot. The szechuan Shrimp and beef are excellent. The lo mein beef are excellent. The egg rolls are great. Food is ready quickly and the prices went up a little but worth it to get good tasting food. Sorry I have no photos. Not an eat in diner except for 1 or 2 tables.
