Everything is really good had the crab platter this trip

Had the chicken, gator, and seafood platter. All of it was delicious. If you're in the area, you should stop by to try it.

Great food. Great service. Love the big tables and room between tables. Great place to dine.

This location is adjoining a Hotel. Parking can be difficult. You can also expect a wait during busy times of the day. Our family has visited Mike Anderson's (both locations) for many years. When you walk in a hostess will either seat you or take your name for the waiting list. The menu offers a nice selection of local seafood options. Chargrilled oysters are great! The staff is usually very attentive. At busy times it can take awhile for service. They also have daily specials during the week Our last visit was with a large group. Our server worked very hard but was just overwhelmed. The supervising staff was unpleasant and seemed to be aggravated. Our large group had called weeks in advance for the reservation so not sure why she was unpleasant. I ordered the black drum covered in a crab sauce. It was a total miss on this visit. Completely lacked flavor and was barely warm when it came out. Drinks were rarely refilled and had little ice. I was there for 3 hours and received one drink no refills. My three daughters also said their food was cold and flavorless. One ordered chargrilled oysters and said they were gritty and no as good as usual. Hopefully the poor food quality and overwhelmed staff was just because of our group size. The food is pricey so even in a large group I expect better.

My family loves celebrating special occasions at Mike Anderson's in Gonzales. The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding as well.
