The friendly service was fast and the seasonal sesection of dishes with Chanterelles were very tasting. Local beer was served, which made this a pleasant hold and at a very affordable price. Order the Slesian specialties or the Polish Pierogi!
A free space built above the river, as separated Germany from Poland, which was a great place for lunch, even on a day when the sun was only sporadic. The beer and wine selection were excellent, and the carving with brie and berries was probably the best I ever had.
I was the only person sitting outside on a cool October day, but the view over the river to Poland and behind me to the huge church was both too good to miss. I ordered a local specialty of ham in a white sauce with plums and died apricots and dumplings. It was delicious and very cheap. The waiter explained it was his family restaurant and it was an old recipe of mother who made cooking. All in all a very pleasant experience.
