Bishco - Gloucester

Stopped by for lunch after a whale watching tour. Was looking for a quick bite to eat, and was not disappointed. We have an extensive menu with a ton of options for both hot and cold sandwiches and Panini‘s. I got the chicken and basil pita rolled sandwich, which was pretty damn solid and it came with a bag of chips. Cashier and staff were very quick and very friendly. Clean interior. Would recommend.

Food here was great. Staff was kind. Place was clean. No grief when asking to use the bathroom (which is apparently a thing in the area) Panini was huge and the price was very fair. I'm glad I randomly stopped here and I would definitely go back again if I'm in the area.

The food is always great but they’re not truly open the hours that they list online. If you want to order a sandwich from them you have to order it like an hour before they close, because they stop making them like a half hour before closing time. Really frustrating and i would have preferred to know that ahead of time. Please adjust your hours on Google.

So, I 'm conflicted here. The food is very good however... We tend to go to Bishco around dinner time. The servers always tell us that they close in about an hour but they don 't want to prepare anything within 30 minutes or so of closing, so to 'hurry up and choose '. We went there a few days ago, at 8pm, and they close at 9pm. Same thing please hurry up and order. Even worse, the staff then started cleaning out the bathrooms, with the bathroom door propped open which was not a really pleasant eating experience. They were also spraying down the glass surfaces (fridges, front door) right by our table, and so we can smell and almost taste the cleaning chemicals. Really unpleasant. It 's a shame, because we love the food and recognize that the business is good for our town. The atmosphere and dining experience just is not that pleasant, sorry to say.

EDIT: CASH for delivery tips (see full review) I would like to express my gratitude for the owners prompt actions and response. I was unaware they went through a 3-rd party so I have changed my review to 5 stars because it is not their fault. I am unsure how to contact her but her genuine response and my other experiences shows me how wonderful they are. I will leave the original review for people to see what happened. You can also read the owner 's response that further shows their care and professionalism. The response completely made my sad night so much better. Thank you!ORIGINAL:I love cafe bischo and recommend the food. However, I was notified after I paid, to tip the driver in cash. I never carry cash with me so I didn 't have any. I was hoping she had venmo or another electronic payment option. I explained this to the delivery driver and she proceeded to yell at me. Then rudely shove my food at me and sarcastically say have a nice one on me before I had a chance to ask her if it would be okay for me to deliver a cash tip to cafe bischo or meet her elsewhere the next day. If she had been polite I would have been able to figure it out with her like 2 adults. That being said if you order deliver you must have CASH for a tip. I will never order delivery again she was so rude. I however will continue to frequent for their delicious food.
