Twelve Tone Music School - Glenview

This place is phenomenal! If you want your children to be excited about music and learn fun and encouraging way, you need to bring them here. Teachers really know how the students are interested and motivated to improve their skills. Special scream for Rudy, who is so friendly, helpful and organized.

It used to be a small cafe/caraoke place, but now it's music school. My daughter started going there and she can't get enough of it.

Good coffee, especially iced coffee/mochas. Friendly staff. Love that they have gluten free options for sandwiches and clean the little grill. Get anything and everything to go. Most days it 's slow, evil murder on the ears. Some nights it gets worse. Three words: live kid karaoke. Never have I wanted something so live to be so dead . I know kids gotta start somewhere and build their confidence, but not in my ears and not in the tender, gentle night! Only other issue is that they are closed way too early too often against their posted hours. Went on a Friday night with earplugs at the ready and they were closed 45 minutes earlier than scheduled...again. I 'm guessing an employee couldn 't deal with a third hour of butchered Katy Perry covers.:)Summation: Get the coffee to go, tip the haggered employees really well, then run like hell!

Very hard to categorize this business. Part music school, part coffeehouse and part performance space. Have been here a couple of times. . . Most recently we were here to see our friend's band preform. The space is small so acoustics are never a problem. Getting a seat though is a bit of one. For the performances they never seem to have enough seating and I am too old to stand for that long. . . Love the little bar/food area they have. They do a really mean grilled cheese! Hubby is always happy that he can get a cool craft beer. Most recently I opted for a smoothie. I had wanted a strawberry banana that was listed on the menu board but they had no strawberries. Hubby made the executive decision to get me an apricot peach one instead. It was darn good and bursting with flavor. I would get one again. Service though, at the bar, is always very slow.
