Ajisai Japanese Restaurant - Glen Eira

The staff are friendly and helpful, but their is usually only 1 person serving so you do have to be patient when they are busy. The food is great value and good. The place itself is very dark and could be updated but I guess if they did that their prices would go up to. They also have the cheapest sushi rolls in Melbourne starting at $1.50 each.If you are local and want Japanese it is worth trying

This place is a hidden gem, A little tired in appearance from the outside but the food is fresh, high quality and all round fantastic, a must try especially if you live locally. Service is also great and very friendly. No flaws whatsoever. Delicious!

В нём работает семья японцев.Очень приятная , радушная хозяйка\ говорит и на английском языке тоже\, чистота, домашний уют, не навящевое обслуживание, простой, но достойный интерьер. Ничего лишнего. Свежайшие блюда, богатый ассортимент. Находится недалеко от ст. метро.

We eat here regularly. It is not cheep but the food is of highest quality and good sized serves. It is a small place with only two staff, sometimes it can be a bit slow.

The Bentleigh area is spoiled - we have numerous places nearby to choose from to buy our takeaway sushi. However, the reason Ajisai stands out is the quality and value to be found here. There is a great range (my personal favourite is the spicy prawn!). So enjoyed is their sushi that you will always find people "loitering" around the front of the store, waiting for their special sushi fridge to be stocked. The fridge sits, pride of place, in the front window, tempting passers-by with probably a dozen different varieties. Prices vary but are all very reasonable.
