Church On The Hill - Glasgow City

The staff at this restaurant are extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate my elderly parents who have small appetites. They even made a special entry available for my parent's disabled walker. Thank you.

I enjoy this bar. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have come here to have a beer and watch football. It is a reliable venue. The food can be a bit hit or miss. My partner and I have tried the hot dog, chicken kebab, both of which were very good, as well as the Sunday roast on two separate occasions. Some suggestions: the Sunday roast menu could use more options, perhaps an additional starter and dessert (ice cream). The soup is decent, but the sweetcorn addition wasn't to my liking. The crumble was not quite as expected, more of a stewed fruit with a hint of crumble. The sorbet, however, was very tasty. The beef in the Sunday roast was not in thin slices as I had expected, more like a thin steak that had curled up. The Yorkshire puddings were frozen and hard as bullets. The quality of the Sunday roast seemed inconsistent between visits, as if we had come late and missed out on the better dishes. If that was the case, it would have been better to simply say they had run out. It was puzzling and a bit disappointing that the experience could be so different just a few weeks apart.

I was in the Southside with my friend Eddie and decided to visit Church on the Hill to see how they were doing. Lyndsay took care of us at our table, giving Eddie some treats, a cuddle, and a bowl of water. I appreciate how dog-friendly Church is! I ordered a Cold Town lager and some chicken wings with buffalo sauce, which were delicious. I wasn't very hungry, but it hit the spot! Church on the Hill will always be my first choice when I'm on that side of Glasgow.

Great service from Lindsay and Louis. Excellent customer service. Food was 10/10 and good prices. Definitely will be back.

Popped in to watch the Scotland game, as this is our first choice of bar to come to for watching games. I was starving, so I ordered as a starter the Korean chicken tenders, and then a steak pie £14.95 for 2 courses……i might add!! Portion is amazing, well worth it!! The service off Ollie Lindsay was the best! We left happy and not hungry!
