This place has such high reviews ... I can't for the life of me figure out WHY based upon what I was just served. We tried the spaghetti and lasagna. The lasagna was DROWNED in a red sauce that was so sweet, it tasted like a dessert gone wrong. The sauce had NO flavor ... just acidic sugar. The lasagana itself was flavorless and the noodles were gummy. The spag/meatballs used the same sugary sauce. The flavor of the meatballs was decent but the texture was off putting very mushy and spongy. The garlic bread was burned and totally over coated with dried italian seasoning. (I guess they used all the spices they had on the bread since there was little to none in the sauce. All of this food was inedible. We tossed it and made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead. Wonderful family owned restaurant. Everything we ordered was amazing. We ordered the Ruben, meatball sub, fried ravioli, and fried mushrooms. Staff was great and talk to us about the food.
