Terrazas Del Pery - Gijón

The food here is great, so many options to choose from and the menu of the day is always unique. The servers are so kind and make my time here enjoyable.

It is not easy to find decent vegan food in this part of Spain and we were pleasantly surprised to find a Vegan section on the menu of this classic Gijón restaurant. The grilled vegetables were delicious, the vegan pizza one of the best we have tried anywhere. Others in our group tried the vegan canelones and seitan steak with mustard sauce and grilled vegetables and also very happy. Service was efficient and prices reasonable. A true find and genuine recommendation.

I stopped by the Las Terrazas del PERY for a late lunch. I was walking along side the Gijon harbour boadwalk (east end of Gijon) when I caught a mouthwatering aromatic waft of freshly grilled food. I could not help but explore its origin. Seating at Terrazas del Pery is primarily out doors in a wind shielded area with good views onto the sea and harbour. There is an adjacent play area for kiddies (with pretty good sound proofing). I was promply seated and asked if I wanted a drink whilst reviewing the menu. I ordered the customary G&T a very generous portion was served up. Optics? Well yep what the waitess wanted to pur, and then politely asked if that was sufficient? Well, it would have been rude to say no so another half inch measure was poured out (at no extra cost). I asked what was recommended and was swiftly directed at the fish options. I ended up ordering a sea bass with a separate salad. This was served grilled and truly fresh. Well done !!! Ticked all my boxes for atmosphere, amibance, food quality and price.

Hemos ido varias veces a comer allí,y sin problema. En esta ocasión....la comida creo que ha perdido mucho últimamente,ya que los 5 que fuimos nos quedamos algo sorprendidos al notar que no estaba todo tan bueno como otras veces, pero seguía estando bien,algunas cosas caras una tosta 17 euros, 6 chipirones a la plancha 23, agua a 3 euros y postres a 6,50) La mayor sorpresa fue, cuando al pedir lo que había sobrado para llevar y la cuenta... vemos que nos cobran la tarrina de plástico y la bolsa! Nos comentó la camarera que hay una nueva ley de hace tres meses que les obliga a cobrar eso...en fin,no lo pongo en duda, pero pienso que en una factura de 200 euros,cobrar por una bolsa...deja bastante que desear. En definitiva, salimos algo decepcionados en esta ocasión.

Local muy amplio, tanto exterior como interior, muy buen servicio y precios razonables. Estupendas vistas al mar.
