In past years, we've really enjoyed Hooks' seafood. Our recent visit was no exception. We'd hoped for Pink Snapper, Bronzie or Dhufish, but these weren't on offer. We settled for Shark Bay Whiting instead.Good choice... delightful in fact... two pieces each... and the chips were cooked to perfection. Were the spuds really from Holland? Maybe they were so good because they were fried in Rice Bran Oil(?) Cap'n Hook certainly knows his fish. We enjoyed a great chat about the local species and history of fishing in the midwest.
They had wonderful service, great food that my mates and I didn't have to wait long for and the chips were cooked perfectly.
Ordered two seafood baskets, very oily...Batter fell off everything, chips were under cooked, certainly not worth $50
Had to wait 45 mins with 2 toddlers, store had 4 customers in it so by no means busy. Ordered the shark bay whiting - 2 serves (4 pieces) recieved 3 dismal pieces of fish. Requested extra lemon, 2 small pieces given. Won't be going back again.
